Dr. Ervin Tal-Gutrlmacher
CEO
Ervin holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Ben Gurion University of the Negev (Israel). With 20 years of experience in hydrogen and energy-related innovative research and development, project management, team leadership, steering committees, consortiums and bilateral projects with industrial and academic partners, Dr. Tal-Gutelmacher directs and paves the company’s current and future direction towards development and deployment of advanced Anion exchange membrane (AEM) fuel cells and electrolysis technologies and devices. Prior to her C.E.O. and former V.P. R&D and C.T.O roles at HYDROLITE, she held positions as R&D manager at Elbit Energy Systems and formerly as Alexander von Humboldt and Minerva Research Fellow at the University of Gottingen (Germany). She holds numerous patents, several prestigious national and international awards and hundreds of scientific contributions in journal and conference publications.

Charly earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science at EPFL-Lausanne, Switzerland. He has 11 years’ experience in materials and polymers research, including 9 years of leading research at HYDROLITE on unprecedented materials and approaches towards advanced AEM device technology.

Dr. Tomer Yehoshua

LTC (ret.) Tomer holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Ben Gurion University of the Negev (Israel). With over 15 years of experience as a senior Economist and Financial Business Analyst, Tomer has an excellent reputation for resolving problems, business development, big data analysis, and turning complex problems into simple recommendations. Trained by McKinsey & Company as a Business Analyst (OJT), Tomer brings in a proven ability to hit targets and a consistent background of winning new business. Prior to his role at HYDROLITE, he served in a variety of leading economic positions, with the latter one as the Head of Budget and Economics Department at the Israeli MOD (Budget Division).

Yauhen got his Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry from the Belarusian State University. Before joining the Hydrolite team in 2021, he worked there as an Associate Professor at the Department of Analytical Chemistry. At Hydrolite, his research is focused on developing new materials and chemical processes to be used in AEM devices.

Anna Kitayev
Senior Scientist and Laboratory Manager
Since joining the Hydrolite team in 2016, Anna has focused on electrochemical systems and advanced materials for hydrogen production, while managing lab operations and safety procedures. With 15 years of industry experience, including nine years in hydrogen technologies, she leads projects and coordinates academic collaborations in Israel and across Europe on AEM technologies for fuel cells and electrolyzers. Anna is currently writing her PhD dissertation on electrocatalysis for AEM systems and holds an MSc in Nanotechnology and Nanoscience from the Technion.

Roy Segev serves as an executive director and a board member at Hydrolite, previously he led the MW scale stationary FC business at Ballard power systems for over 7 years, Roy is a physicist and serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of business experience in the technology sector. Roy was the founder and CEO of Zenith Solar from its inception until it was acquired by the Chinese based Sanan group, the largest LED fab in China. Roy is the co-founder of Nexwafe Gmbh, developed a disruptive silicon wafer production technology and prior as a general partner in Sadot VC Fund, investing in early stage start-ups primarily in the energy and IT sectors. Roy is a co-inventor of patents in the field of optics, solar and energy. Roy holds BSc. in Physics and Mathematics from Hebrew University and Msc. in Management from Boston University

Dr. Yaacov (Kobi) Kagan was appointed as Executive Vice President – Chief Financial Officer, in 2022. He was appointed in 2018 as deputy general manager and senior vice president – finance and control in Elbit Systems Land, and from 2010 to 2018 he served as Elbit Systems Land and C4I’s vice president – finance and control. Dr. Kagan joined Elbit Systems in 2008 as a sales director at Elbit Systems Land and C4I. Prior to that, Dr. Kagan served for 26 years in the Israeli Navy, where he holds the rank of a naval captain (reserves), and in the IMOD, in a variety of positions, including the Head of the Navy’s budget department. From 2004 to 2008, he served as land and C4I chief financial officer and vice president for contracts and sales.
